She is presently a Senior consultant at the Centre of IVF and Human Reproduction, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
She has been associated with the Centre of IVF since its inception and was credited for the 1st IVF baby of north India in the year 1991 and also for the first IVF baby of Nepal.
She was the former Director of Kasturba Gandhi Hospital, Delhi. She conducted the first camp for sterilisation in Delhi and was first to start laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and culdoscopy in Delhi.
She was a recognized as a teacher by John Hopkins Baltimore (USA) and Government of India to train doctors in laparoscopy from various states in India and abroad.
She also established the centre of excellence in microsurgery in Kasturba Hospital and was the former Physician to President of India and WHO consultant for Nepal, Dhaka and Afghanistan to train doctors in minilap, laparoscopy and infertility.
