Over the last 20 years of his work in the IVF laboratory, he and his team of clinical embryologists have been instrumental in improving the standard of IVF laboratory to such an extent that today the Centre of IVF, SGRH boasts of one of the highest pregnancy rates and live birth rates in the country.
He has meticulously fine tuned and optimised embryo culture protocols to produce high quality embryos in the lab, which now allows us to predominantly transfer only single embryos and yet maintain exceptionally high pregnancy rates of ~ 60%. Read more about our elective single embryo program
Awards
- Awarded the Economic Times fertility award for the Embryologist of the year, India, 2019
- In 2014, he successfully set up a PGS/PGD program at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital which now runs an in-house genetic testing facility using qPCR to screen embryos for aneuploidy.
- Faculty at Amity University for the one year post graduate Diploma in Clinical Embryology course.
- Developed a successful oocyte freezing program and a vitrification program at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and has to his credit the first pregnancy from frozen oocytes in northern India.
- Appointed Subject expert in ‘Embryology’ by National Board of examinations, Govt. of India for setting embryology questions for exit exam for fellowship in Reproductive medicine.
